Shiralee Saul is an Australian pioneer in the exhibition of new media art, founding Australia’s first dedicated digital-media gallery in 1994 and serving as Artistic Director of Experimenta Media Arts 1996-98. A curator since the mid-80s with more than 20 exhibitions to her credit, her exhibitions include the hugely-popular House of Tomorrow which toured Australia and internationally 2004-05, and national broadcaster ABC’s ‘first online film festival’, Strange Attractors (2003). Most recently she co-authored a major strategic review and policy document for the deployment of new media technologies across the City of Albury’s cultural agencies and curated the permanent exhibition ‘Crossings’ for the Albury Art Gallery (both 2008).  Shiralee edited An Installation Publication, MESH: Film/Television/Installation/Art and online magazine SPAM and writes regularly for catalogues, magazines and journals. She co-wrote the chapter ‘Art is DOOMed; The spawning of game-art’ for SwanQuake (edited by Scott deLahunta for MIT Press). Currently Shiralee is founding editor of Second Nature Internati0onal Journal of Creative Media http://secondnature.rmit.edu.au, teaches in the School’s Games Program and is co-producing Curiosity Cabinet, a social museum for collectors http://curiositycabi.net
